Jessie Buckley Wore Bottega Veneta To The 2026 Critics’ Circle Film Awards

Jessie Buckley collected the Actress of the Year award for Hamnet at the 2026 Critics’ Circle Film Awards in London on Sunday.

The Irish actress wore a Bottega Veneta paillettes mesh dress, and I’ll admit it was an immediate relief. I had started to worry that her awards season was going to stay in a safe, muted territory, but the shimmer and elongated silhouette pulled us back into more unexpected territory, continuing a thread that began at the Golden Globes.

That earlier look didn’t quite land, but this appearance suggests those austere instincts may finally be fading into the background. The fabric choice alone does much of the work catching the light.

The high collar may divide opinion for such a glamorous gown. We’ve already seen it on the Bottega Veneta Spring 2026 runway and recently on Jacob Elordi in Paris, but in cold, rain-soaked London, it reads as practical.
